Mariyam Tsygankova

Mariyam Tsygankova brings a wealth of experience to her role, having previously worked as a Director of an educational center in Kazakhstan, where she developed programs for individuals who couldn’t afford schooling. In 2018, Mariyam immigrated to Canada through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) as an economic immigrant. She spent four years in Settlement Services, helping newcomers and refugees integrate into Manitoba.

For the past two years, Mariyam has been serving as the Director of Many Hands Resource Centre, which operates the Morden Food Bank. She is also an active community volunteer, involved with the Morden Chamber of Commerce and the Pembina Valley Local Immigration Partnership (PVLIP) Council.

Mariyam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and has a passion for reading and traveling. She is also a proud mother and shares her home with her cat, who made the journey from Kazakhstan with her.
