Our 6-week Warehouse Training Program combines classroom learning, hands-on work at our warehouse facility, and exposure to practical work environments.

Upon completing the program, our trainees graduate with industry-standard warehouse skills required for entry-level employment in distribution centers, warehouses, and the retail sector. They earn certifications in WHMIS (2015), Safe Food Handling, First Aid, and develop expertise in shipping and receiving, warehouse equipment operation, product quality control, inventory maintenance, and order picking.

The Harvest Manitoba Warehouse Training Program provides paid skills training and support for Manitobans facing food insecurity which have challenges in entering the workforce.

How long is the program?

The program lasts 6 weeks and includes a combination of in-person classroom learning, soft skills training, wrap-around services and hands-on work in the Harvest Manitoba warehouse and distribution facility.

What will participants learn from the program?

Participants will attend in-person classes to learn warehouse practices and professional development skills. They will complete nationally accredited trainings such as Forklift Training, First Aid and AED, Safe Food Handling, and WHMIS 2015, earning recognized industry certifications. Pre-employment workshops will also be held to support job search efforts.
